To all Members of the Philippine Canada Trade Council: 

Please be informed that the Annual General Assembly and Elections Meeting of the Members of the Philippine Canada Trade Council will be held on June 25, 2010 (Friday) at 5:30 in the afternoon at Golden Swan Restaurant, 5380 Victoria Drive, Vancouver B.C. for the following purposes :

 1.                  To receive and act upon the Reports of the President and of the Treasurer;

2.                  To elect the President (1), Vice President (1) and seven (7) Directors for a total of nine (9) Directors for the fiscal year 2010 to 2011; and

3.                  To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.   

During the Board of Directors meeting on April 16, 2010, a Nominations Committee has been established composed of  Mr. Ed Tapia as Chairperson, Mr. Cholo Insua and Mr. Tony Aytona as Members to receive nominations from the members and to report the names of nominees to the PCTC members at the Annual General Assembly and Election Meeting. 

The Nominations Committee was instructed to invite nominations for President, Vice President, and seven (7) Board of Directors of the Council for a total of nine (9) Directors including the President and Vice President starting on May 26, 2010 (Wednesday) until the close of business hours of June 11, 2010 (Friday) after which the nominations shall be closed. 

Only members of good standing as of June 11, 2010 shall be entitled to participate, vote and be voted for at the meeting.  Membership for fiscal year 2010-2011 should be valid.  PCTC is now accepting membership renewals/new members for fiscal year 2010-2011. 

Acceptance of new members is subject to Board approval.  If you cannot attend in person during the General Assembly and Election meeting on June 25, 2010, you can execute the accompanying Proxy form to be duly signed and dated and sent to our Office on or before June 11, 2010 (Friday). 

Only persons with Proxies received on or before June 11, 2010 will be entitled to vote at the meeting.
